An Update On SusanSuarez.Com
The site has been officially up for a full 4 weeks and I’m happy to say that I’m pleased with the results so far. I’ve received over 6,000 visits this first month (thank you!). I’m also pleased to report that my other site, Got2BeGreen.com, received over 50,000 visits last month and the site has only been up a few months.
As far as members on MyBlogLog, I’ve already reached over 200 for SusanSuarez.com (yay!) and hope to keep up the pace.
I’ve been pulling some organic search from Google…more than I expected…
To those wanting to know more about me. A few months ago I left a online marketing career to spend some more time with my daughter. It was out of fear my mother would replace me as a mom for my daughter, the horror (other mothers may relate)! I worked for a couple large companies that have received a lot of media attention over the past 1-2 years, which will go un-named (sorry folks). I had my baby and decided to stay at home with her a bit longer. I thought I could be a stay at home mom, but within a week I got antsy….and thus, I looked for ways to keep my brain alert to combat the constant routine of changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, playing…baby stuff. So this is what I do, I blog about things that are of interest to me, as I finally have time to do it!
Income? I’m earning about $2-$2.50 per day from Adsense (I’m not going to leave an affiliate link – I’m sure many of you already have Adsense accounts). I’m running a few other programs to diversify but I will be scouting for additional advertising/affiliate sources.
I’ve had one of my other sites signed up with Text Links Ads and I’ve just signed up my self-named site for Text Link Ads and with Link Worth which started out like Text Link Ads but has evolved. Link Worth products consists of not only text link ads but in-text links, in-content pay per click ads, paid blog reviews, article and directory submission, rotating text ads and more. It’ll be interesting to see how this particular service develops. Although their referral service doesn’t embrace both publishers and advertisers (only referred advertisers will count towards a referral payment) from what I’ve heard, they are currently working on developing a referral publisher program.

congrats! 6000 visitors is amazing stats for a new blog lol. Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you :)
That’s very impressive Susan! I don’t even get numbers like that and I’ve been around for over two years. Congrats.
Congrats! Great numbers in such a short time. Very nice job :)
congrats :)
Wow, you’re doing awesome. Any tips to get traffic? Also, is the $2-$2.50 in adsense a day on this blog or both your sites combined? That’s about what I made all month in July for adsense aha.

That’s on 2 of my sites, one that has been up for 3 months and this one that has been up for about 1 month. Blending definitely helps although I’ve found the 160×600 banner ad works well for one of my sites. I would definitely test out a few ad formats and see what type of advertisements pop up. I’ve just started a 3rd site, and I’ve gotten some good clicks on 200×200 image.
For traffic? Stumble is great, commenting works (quality commenting of course), being active with MyBlogLog and getting listed in directories and other social sites. Although, I can’t say much for MySpace as I have a page for one of my sites. It’s great for networking depending on the niche, but it hardly brings in traffic.
Money made from adsense also depends on the type of niche you’re in. Some niches yield more per click than others….and of course, you have others who pay on CPM which can be painful for small sites. I recommend using the Preview Tool for Google Adsense.
