I can't even tell you how true this is! We nearly lost all of our toddlers baby pictures when our computer crashed. Thank goodness we had backed up most of them, or we would have nothing from her early months. I do a backup once a month of pictures and other important documents.

Nice blog!

I learned this the hard way a few years ago in ecommerce. I didn't lose the website - but I lost about 3,000 email addresses and a ton of contacts :).

Open English - yep, my husband just purchased an external drive to make regular backups. If that fails...uh-oh!

Justin - haha...yep, it's a hard habit to start, but an important one!

Bloggernoob- I hope it wasn't too hard!

This sounds like the argument my GF and I had last week:) She seems to never back up any of her images (she's a photographer) By the way, Welcome back. I haven't been by since the new look.

thanks for the reminder... I haven't backed up in a while.
I pretty much have everything backed up on an external drive... but its been acting up lately and that scares me to death, so I usually put everything on DVDs once in a while. And all of my pictures are up on flickr which I can then download using the flickr downloadr.
