Great Toolbars

There are a few toolbars that I love to use, one of which was released the other day from Alexa for Firefox.
The Alexa toolbar appears in the lower right hand corner of your browser space to reveal traffic trend, ranking and a related links option is added to the top menu bar. While your Alexa ranking is not fairly too important it will determine your Text Links Ads advertising price. The downside is that Alexa only counts the traffic coming from users who surf with this toolbar.
There is also the SEO tool for Firebox that imports Google and Yahoo data into your search results. You’ll be able to see Keyword Suggestions, Page Rank, Age of the domains, # of Links and Rankings for each site. It’s definitely a handy tool to further analyze your competition and research a niche prior to entering it.
Stumble Upon is great toolbar to drive traffic to your personal site and an excellent way to discovering new websites. You’ll find sites set to your particular interests and be able to share new sites with your community, friends or family.
Google toolbar has some great features like the ability to drag a file on your browser and automatically add it to Google Docs & Spreadsheets. Additional features includes custom buttons , a “Sent To” that allows you to send web pages via email, text messages (SMS) and much more.

Hi Susan:
Great post. These are definitely some of the best toolbars available.
We recently launched a service that might interest you and your readers, Toolbar Station (http://www.ToolbarStation.com). It’s the first directory of useful toolbars.
As we put the directory together, we discovered that there were some amazingly powerful toolbars in almost every category, including SEO, travel, price comparisons, coupon finders, phising protection, evern greater security protection, and lot’s more.
Thanks again for this really useful post.

I use the Stumble and Alexa tool bar. I find that alexa slows down my internet when browsing so i’ve considered taking off the alexa tool bar.

I use both toolbars just about everyday :D The first thing I look at is the bottom right hand corner to get a feeling for the traffic to the site I’m at. I use the Google toolbar to make searches everyday.
I also have the Google Pagerank plugin for FireFox which appears in the bottom right hand corner. It shows the current PR of the website you’re on.
