Movie Mistakes

I came across these movie mistakes that are quite funny and none of which I noticed before except for the Jurassic Park clip.

——————

Some of the best movie blunders in existence.

In the “Battle of Carthage” in the Colosseum, one of the chariots is turned over. Once the dust settles you can see a gas cylinder in the back of the chariot.

During the scene when Dorothy and Scarecrow are fighting with the trees, Scarecrow says “I’ll show you how to get apples” and he gets hit by the apples. The very next scene if you quickly look at Dorothy’s shoes, you can see that she is wearing black shoes, not her ruby slippers.

When the stormtroopers break into the control room, the stormtrooper on the right of the screen hits his head on the door frame. On the DVD release they’ve added a thump when he hits it. THUD! While unintentional, it’s still one of the best moments in all the Star Wars films.

In the second half of the film, Frodo has a scar on his lower right cheek, close to his chin. Many times throughout the rest of the film the scar changes position and size on his right cheek. It also appears on his left cheek in flipped shots (most obviously on the slopes of Mount Doom when Sam is cradling his head).

In the scenes where there’s a video link to the docks shown on computer, there’s a bar moving along the bottom of the screen, showing us that it’s actually a video that’s just playing on the computer.

In the scene where Jeff Goldblum is getting the alcohol out of the fridge, he opens the fridge door and it is full of food. When his ex-wife puts the bottle back in the fridge, it’s virtually empty. It’s full again when Jeff reaches back in to get the bottle back.

Ha! These are hilarious! It’s so right, but I’ve never realized that or paid enough attention to it. Thanks, Susan. Another beautiful post to keep us smiling :)

My favorite is the Johnny Depp one, classic! It’s such a close shot, how does these things get missed?

Yeah. Johny Deep with Adidas label is really funny. I haven’t noticed this while watching the movie. But, when I think about it, this could be just a good old marketing.

There is another good one in Gladiator where you can pause it and see a guy wearing jeans in the background.

Well, I happen to be a FANATIC about Pirates of the Caribbean…and, not to flame, but that shot is fake. I have a poster of that shot and I’ve seen the movie enough to know it’s not there. And in other screenshots of the same scene, it’s not there…so it’s edited in in this one. Although it is a great edit! :D

    Another couple

A plane going across the sky in the Movie Ben Hurr
Also in Ben Hurr - a guy gets run over by a chariot during a race - he really was run over and killed.

In the opening scenes of Jaws, when the girl is being dragged back and forth, she was really screaming in pain as several of her ribs got broken in the process.

In the film Zulu, one of the african tribal warriors is wearing a wristwatch.

All good, the first one has to be fake.

The reason you didnt notice it the first time is because it is fake.

Hi. I noticed another movie blunder in Oceans 11. When Rusty is watching Tess come down the stairs for the first time, he is holding shrimp cocktail in a cup. When it shows him again he is holding a platter of shrimp cocktail. When it looks back again it is a cup again.

Another great blooper is in the Clint Eastwood movie, “Sudden Impact”. The blooper occurs when Clint is exiting his car to approach his friend Horace and a perfect reflected image of the camera man is shown on the car window.

I was expecting to see a blooper from terminator 2 on this page which in my opinion is one of the best ever. It happens near the end when the t-1000 is flying the helicopter after the truck. The t-1000 can clearly be seen reloading his gun while a third hand is seen holding the control stick. There are also other shots where the third hand can be seen. This hand is coming up from under the seat between the t-000’s legs. I have often told friends about this and they laugh until they actually see it and they cant believe it.

I’m pretty sure the one with the cops is not a mistake. You’ll notice that *none* of the cops have their fingers on the trigger, because that’s protocol unless it’s time to shoot. It’s kind of a big deal for a cop to accidentally shoot someone.

    I just stumbled on these

    very funny :D

I’ve also noticed one in Lord of The Rings The Two Towers.

When Aragorn Legolas and Gimli meet Eomer for the first time, when Eomer gets back onto his horse to leave his sword falls out of its sheath :)

    Lol! Great pics!
But the one about the scar on frodo’s face… Well it is possible that
    a) Its meant to be dirt/spatter of blood
    b) He has more than one cut in his face!
Sorry to defend something imaginary but oh well!
    Nice pics anyway!!!

I also think and heard the “Pirates” one was a fake..but in Troy I found a goof myself today. A scene where Pitt is talking to cousin in a tent he has a goblet of wine he dumps into a fire..minutes later (and he never refills it if you watch) he’s drinking from it as though its atleast half full.
