Page Rank Happening, Sorta?

Google seems to be updating their page ranks but it appears to only be partially updated so far.

Some blogs have been reporting a change from a PR0 to a PR2, and some have even reported experiencing a PR4 down to PR1. Apparently some are saying that sometimes PR can drop to the previous update and then update to the true PR after the process is completed. There are others saying that no PR update has been seen on their sites.

What’s Going On?

I think the PR update hasn’t run to completion just yet but it appears that Google has started the process and hopefully many of you will have happy faces after the update is completed.

How Do You Increase PR

Submit your site to many directories, preferably ones with a PR of 3 or higher. Also, get yourself involved into some linkbaiting and develop stories/posts on your site that are compelling enough for people to link to.

Set baby step goals of achieving a PR2 if you’re at PR0 and so on until PR5. Getting to PR6 is much harder than reaching the others (even PR5 came sometimes be hard). Those with a PR7 are doing well, and PR8 or PR9’s are pros.

Good luck to all with this next update…

I’m writing quick because I have this aching tooth that I just found out needs a root canal…oh the pain!

I’ve still got my fingers crossed that the PR4-PR0 is a fluke, and Google will change her mind. I should end up as PR5 at least, with a *maybe* PR6. Def. a bit better than PR1 ;)

I hope the best for ya! I’m thinking when it’s done, you should retain at minimum your most recent ranking (the higher one) if nothing else has changed. Best of luck :)

According to the prediction tool I’m getting PR 5, but who knows

Today I discovered that nationalgeographic.com had linked to my site and they have PR 8 :D

    That’s awesome! Congratulations! :)

  5. I haven’t seen any PR change in my site, but I’m hoping for the best. It’s only three months old, so I don’t know what to expect, but I at least hope I get a 2. A lot of people brush it off as not important, but I believe that it is pretty darn important as far as advertisers recognizing your site and other publishers seeing it as somewhat of an authority.

  6. Pagerank is just weird to me. When I first started blogging in December I made 4 posts about AGLOCO and received a pagerank of 3 the first update. Then I got serious about blogging and got it up to a 4 and now I’m aiming for a 5 for this update.
