So, you’ve been writing post after post after post and now you have a few promotional articles to write for your site. You sit in front of your computer, but nothing pops up into your head. You’re having an issue with finding ideas to talk about in your blog. I know that feeling, it has happened to me. Where do I go to for inspiration?

Forums.

Whether you are looking to create content for your site or write an article, visiting an online forum can definitely inspire you. You’ve probably visited many forums before, which would include online message forums or message boards that connect people all over the world. Each forum is usually tailored to a specific group of people either for new moms, pet owners, webmasters or those looking to build their business online.

Reading through conversations and questions is a good chance to re-acquaint yourself with topics currently popular about your interest and can be a good source to come up with article ideas.

To get involved in forum communities, you should consider registering as a member (most are free) and participating. You can start your own discussions to test for successful topic ideas. If you receive a lot of feedback for a particular discussion, you’ll know you scored a good topic. The same goes for if your discussion doesn’t receive a great response – it may not be the best topic to go forward with.

You don’t need to register or participate to succeed in coming up with an idea, but I highly suggest it. Look out for those asking questions. If the question is repeatedly asked, then you know it may be a popular topic to address on your site and could mean a popular post for you and possibly more readers.
